What's new Pussycat

It appears that the Cat that has been hiding under our deck is a new Mom. Kayleigh came home tonight and discovered 5 kittens in our basement window well. We are going to try and find out who owns the cat and then see if we can move the kittens to them. They appear to be about a month old. This might get interesting.

I got a Nikon Camera, I love to take a photograph

Thanks to my wife and girls, I am the proud owner of a new camera.
Best place in the world to give it a test drive, is the zoo.
Love the depth of field on this zoom lens.
Gobble gobble.
Hi Emmy.
Caden kept telling me "Happy Father's day," Way cute.
Behind glass, no light. Compare to the picture I took last month.

Holy Mackerell

The best shot of the day.
Next time I'm gonna shoot in RAW and see what happens.

Saturday in the park.

2 weekends and 2 state parks.
I'm surprised Kayleigh is along for the ride again.
A very dismal day. It rained off and on the whole time we were here. If the weather had been better, I would have been able to get some great bird shots. There are a ton of California Gulls here and I also saw Canadian geese and a lot of smaller water birds.
A trip with Caden is not complete without Cows.

As long as the statues are behind a cage, Caden was fine. It took awhile to get him warmed up to the statues that are scattered all over the park.
He thought they might bite.

Caden on Antelope Island with an actual Antelope in the background.
What are the chances of that ever happening again ? :>

This is the ghost buffalo. It was the first one he would touch or even get near.

And for the grand finale, a small herd of Buffalo
And, as usual, I had to try and get closer.
This one stood up and we had a small stare down.
I lost.
Lucky kid. He gets to sleep and I have to drive home.

Road Trip

We took the first right at Farmington, up thru Ogden
Leave it to Caden to find the only Bison in the area
Thru Brigham city,
Down a very lonely road,
Destination: Promintory Utah
"Train Train, take me on out of this town"
Kayleigh could not believe that we drove that far just to see a train.
I wish I had a whiskey bottle for this picture. That would have been funny.
I'm all about historical accuracy.
Caden and Nana
There are plaques everywhere. You could spent all day just finding them.

The locomotives are very pretty and well maintained. They move them every day when they re-enact the spike ceremony.

Just a lovely family having lunch in the middle of nowhere.
Saw this pond on the way up and had to stop on the trip home. The bird was a nice bonus.
